Designer of the Mosley CM-1 Receiver

The following was submitted by his friend Bob Heil, K9EID:We just lost John Clemens, the designer of the CM-1.  He had become a good close friend the past 6 years or so.  I would stop to see him often as I drove from our home to our Illinois plant (in the shadow of the St Louis arch).  Here are a few  really nice video interviews I did with John telling the history of the CM-1....  READ MORE

New Arrival: Swan 700CX SS-16B Transceiver
This 1974 powerhouse features two 8950 PA tubes and a 16-pole filter.

This clean and highly desirable Swan was obtained from a Schulman Auction.  It was actually packed well by a local Missouri UPS store, with lots of bubble wrapping.  Aside from a slipping inner VFO action, and having to turn the unit off/on from a power strip, it loaded right up on the 20M Vintage Sideband Net, receiving good reports from stations in Nebraska, Texas and Michigan. &n...  READ MORE

Thanks to Dean, K4ATR

I've had lots of Swan 350's in the past, but this one is by far the best, and will stay at this QTH with my other Swan keeper: the model 400.  This 350C was built in February 1968 and sold to Amateur Electronic Supply in Wisconsin (per Stu, K4BOV) and sold to a ham in Texas.  Stu also reported that approximately 1100 of these 350C's were made, and this one was one of the...  READ MORE
