A one hour 1993 presentation by Wes Schum W9DYV, Central Electronics founder to the Society of Radio Operators (SRO) of Chicago. Wes gives his story about the company, how he started in ham radio, the development of SSB, involvement in WW II research, helping VOA when the USSR was jamming them, Art Collins' call for help and the taking over of Central by Zenith. He also mentions his retirement plans at the Jonesboro, TN estate where we now have a vintage sideband event every year.

We was truly a pioneer and an inspiration to lots of people.  I was fortunate to have met him before he passed away

Nick Tusa, and old friend of Wes,  maintains a site dedicated to Central Electronics:  http://ce-multiphase.com/videos.html
